8 March-5 April 2012. Goethe Institut organises a series of appointments dedicated to projection of In Face of the Crime, directed by Dominik Graf. This series depict Russian-Jewish culture as well as emotions and mindsets of various ethnic groups and communities, their religious roots, family life, traditions and celebrations. The protagonists take the audience on a journey through various realities, ranging from the one of a small village in Ukraine to modern life in the urban sprawl of Berlin. On 8 March will be projected the first episode, entitled Berlin is Paradise, as well as the second, entitled In the Thick of the Action. On 15 March will be projected the third episode, entitled The Raid, and the forth, The Betrayal. On 22 March on screen will be the fifth episode, Only honourable love is worthy, and the sixth, Roses from Heaven. On 29 March will be screened the seventh episode, If you show fear, you’ve lost, and the eighth, What price Berlin?. On 5 April will be projected the ninth episode, You get what you deserve, and the tenth and last one, Everything in its Time.
Projections are in German with English subtitles and start at 19.00.
