Scenes by George Fikry

15 January-1 February 2012. This painting exhibition, entitled Scenes, features a series of works by the Egyptian artist George Fikry.

In 2000, Georges Fikry obtained his PHD in Fine Arts and he is currently Professor at the Art Education Faculty of the University of Helwan. Fikry is also a member in the Plastic Arts Syndicate as well as member as many other art committees and associations, such as the Suzanne Mubarak Arbitration Committee and the International Association of Art (AICA).

Since 1989, Fikry has participated in more than 50 international private and public exhibitions. In 2006, Fikry participated to the Venice Biennale as well as to the 10th International Egyptian Biennale, where he won the first prize. This versatile artist received various awards and recognitions in the fields of drawing photography, engraving and painting.
