26 May 2012. The Nigerian Film Corporation hosts the screening of the Nigerian movie Relentness, directed by Andy Amadi Okoroafor.
It tells the story of Obi a Nigerian peacekeeping soldier in war-torn Sierra Leone. One day, he meets Blessing, a Sierra Leonean woman, and falls in love with her, but Blessing is soon mutilated by child soldiers. At the end of war Obi returns to Lagos, where he tries to reintegrate into his community and opens a small security company with his friend and fellow war veteran Ola. But the memories of his terrifying past still haunt him. One night, while Obi is wandering around the lonely streets of Lagos, a high-class call-girl falls into his arms, thrown down from a bridge to die by one of her clients. Obi finds himself assisting once again a victim of violence.
