Screening of The Life of Others

31 May 2012. Goethe Institut screens the German movie “The Life of Others” by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck.

This political thriller and human drama is set in East Berlin between 1984 to 1991. It tells the story of the gradual disillusionment of Captain Gerd Wiesler, a highly skilled officer who works for the Stasi, East Germany’s all-powerful secret police, with the mission to spy on the famous writer Georg Dreyman and her girlfriend the actress Christa-Maria Sieland.

This screening in German with English subtitles starts at 19.00.
