1-31 Oct 2006. Cold cast sculptures by Kwatei Nee-Owoo go on display at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra. Born in James Town, Accra, in 1942, Nee-Owoo studied art in Kumasi before moving to the United Kingdom in 1968. There he studied a variety of disciplines before specialising in cold casting casting using a mixture of resin and metal powder to give the appearance of solid metal. He held his first exhibition at the Commonwealth Institute in London in 1973 and has gone on to exhibit internationally as well as in his native Ghana. His sculpture is on show alongside paintings by lesser-known artist Kofi Acquah. 08.00-20.00.
