Selam Festival 2012

8-9 Dec. The third edition of the famous Selam Festival will gather together a great variety of local and international musicians coming from Sweden, Mozambique, the Ivory Coast and Kenya, who will perform in the huge garden surrounding the Ghion Hotel in the centre of Addis Ababa.

On stage will be a variety of musical genres, ranging from Ethiopian folklore and contemporary music to urban Scandinavian beats.

Among the national artists are Mahmoud Ahmed, Alemayehu Eshete, Jah Lude, Yeshi Demelash and Janinites.

The festival is accompanied by DJ shows, a bazaar, food stands and children’s entertainment as well as by seminars, talks and workshops.
