An exhibition of work by Michael Soi, John Kamicha and Thom Ogonga.
Soi is one the the second generation Kenyan artists and a Kuona Trust prodigee. He started as a sculptor and then moved to social commentary painting. After his successful Fat Cats series on corruption he then focused on prostitution and strip clubs. His work is in international private and public collections, and he is one of the artists listed on the Saatchi Art website.
Kamicha's most famous works are on the post-electoral violence in Kenya in 2008 and he has been commissioned by the Nairobi National Museum and the British Council.
Ogonga is a self-taught artist who has shown extensively in Nairobi and also abroad. His series Riziki, which was shown at the Alliance Française in 2012 is a sort of a documentary of Nairobi night life.
