Slum Film Festival 2013

This community-based annual film festival returns to Kibera and Mathare, Nairobi’s biggest slums, for its third edition. The programme includes a rich calendar of outdoor screenings of slum stories by local filmmakers, who come from or live in urban slums, who focused on people living in slums across the African continent. Slums are a home for very talented, creative and culturally active artists. Through the celebration of the filmmakers’ creativity, this event focuses public attention on informal human settlements as well as at using the power of arts and culture to help create a better world.
