16 August-15 September 2012. This exhibition, entitled Summer Selection, features a series of works by Ahmed Keshta, Ahmed Talal, Amr Kafrawy, Georges Bahgory, Fathi Afifi, Mohamed El-Fayoumi.

Bahgory, who is considered one of Egypt’s renowned contemporary artists as well as the grandfather of Egyptian caricature, is the oldest artist of this exhibition. Famous are his political cartoons, which have been published for many decades in the Arabic press. This multifaceted and multidimensional artist has written books, has been awarded numerous national and international prizes and has participated in over 30 exhibitions across Europe and the Middle East. Bahgory has experimented with various fine art mediums, including drawing, painting and prints as well as photography and sculpture. His colourful works can be categorized as expressionist and cubist. Pablo Picasso, the Egyptian modernist Abdel Hadi Al Gazzar, the German expressionist Paul Klee and Egyptian Fayoum portraits have influenced his art.
