6-31 March 2011. This one-act play written by Sefi Atta, directed by Nick Monu and entitled The Cost of Living will be performed in world premiere every Sunday throughout March. The story is of a bungled kidnapping and of its protagonists: the American hostage, played by Frank Adekunle Macaulay, and his Nigerian abductor, Toyin Oshinaike, who end up learning about life values.
Sefi Atta is the author of Everything Good will Come, News from Home and Swallow and is considered one of the most imaginative and gifted female fiction writers in Africa. Her radio plays have been broadcasted among the others by BBC and Atta has been awarded with various international recongnitions.
Shows start at 15.00 and at 18.00.
