28 June-8 July 2006. The district of Kechene at the foot of the Entoto hill in north Addis Ababa is home to a large community of potters and weavers who combine traditional styles and techniques with modern demands. Now a selection of their work can once again be admired at the Alliance Ethio-Franaise. The pots on show are by a group of self-taught women potters who have been working together for 15 years and reflect a variety of styles, techniques and functions. Mon-Fri 12.00-19.30, Sat 09.30-12.00, 14.00-18.30.
