12 Dec 2009. The Goethe-Institut presents a comprehensive book on transforming and reshaping public space through art in Lagos. The publication offers a wide overview of two art projects in Lagos led by Emeka Udemba and carried out by Nigerian and German artists. The first intervention, entitled Lagos Open, was realised in 2005 and involved an entire street in the suburb of Ajegunle, while the second, In God We Trust, from 2008, artistically re-interpreted two churches in Mushin.

These projects deal with contemporary social and religious issues related to daily life in Lagos.

Event starts at 16.00.
