7-31 July 2011.On occasion of the International Year of Forests, the Nairobi National Museum organises this exhibition entitled Tree Life in support of the Karura Forest.

The Karura Forest is an urban forest located in Nairobi. In the 1990s Wangari Maathai, leader of the Green Belt Movement and winner of the Nobel Peace, organised a campaign to save the forest from several housing projects. For this reason Karura Forest has became the symbol against controversial land development in Kenya.
