13-23 June 2006. Work by Mozambican artist Walter Zand is on show at the French-Mozambican cultural centre in Maputo. Born in the Mozambican capital in 1978, Zand specialised in technical ceramics at the National School of Visual Arts and is trained as a childrens art teacher. He draws inspiration for his work from daily life in his neighbourhood, with music and the high population density in suburban areas being common themes.
