10 July-15 Sept. The Wheatbaker Hotel in Lagos presents Wanderlust, an exhibition of 40 paintings, drawings, photographs and mixed media works by six leading and emerging artists with strong roots in Germany and Nigeria.
The artists - Chidi Kwubiri, Junkman of Africa, Emeka Udemba, Numero Unoma, Yetunde Ayeni-Babaeko and Jimmy Nwanne - explore cross cultural concepts conjured up by "wanderlust", the German word describing a desire to travel and explore.
Themes range from cross-border immigration to displaced people and the ongoing refugee crisis in Europe. The exhibition's supporters include the Deutsche Bank and the German Consulate of Lagos.
