Ecole Française Jacques Prevert (French School)
The school is composed of 13 classes in elementary teaching including 4 in nursery school and 9 in primary education.
The French school receives pupils from the first to the fourth year of secondary school. The continuation of the schooling until the final year of secondary school has been intended.
From the second year of secondary school the course are proposed by the French National Centre for Remote Teaching (C.N.E.D).
The school is equipped with specific classrooms: English, French as a foreign language, History, Geography, Laboratory, Gymnasium, sports ground, a media library and a computer laboratory.
Most of classrooms are equipped with CD players, TV, video recorders, computers and projectors.
415 children are received every year, among them about 30% are French. The school receives help from the Agency for the Teaching of French in Foreign countries (AEFE) by which 14 resident school teachers are appointed.
The school calendar is comparable with the French one. The school is open from 08:00 to 12:30 on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays, from 08:00 to 12:15 and 14:00 to 16:00 (17:00 for the secondary school) on Tuesday and Thursday.
Children can stay at school for midday break on Tuesday and Thursday.
